I don't think all slot 1s support download play.  Usually if it does, they'll probably have it on the features list.  And we all know that R4 doesn't have download play support.

So the DS-X is the only card to work with Download Play now...
That's a shame, because it's one of the most important things I see in a flashcart.

The ds-x don't support download and play for all roms, just more than other solutions.

It does have disco lights though.. woot... and sub-par rom playing compatability compared to slot2 devices like SC and M3.

Can't see the attraction myself.

So with a Flashed DS... and a SCDSOne in slot 1 and a SDLite in slot 2... is it still gonna boot into the slot 2... or will we still need to run sm-mk4ds like we do now with the DSLink? Or can the SCHeaderunPatcher be used on the SCDSOne to switch the DS back to normal boot?

very good question, and one i'm surprised hasn't been answered yet. but if the answer is no (unlikely), i'm not gonna be in such a hurry to buy it.

Because DSLink supports importing Supercard save files then I will venture to guess Supercard DS definitely will too.
