Hello everyone, well i had my ds lite since the first restock so like 2-3 weeks after release. Anyways i was watching Casino Royale last sunday with my friends (awesome movie btw), and my nds lite slid out of my pocket and hit the hard concrete floor... luckily the damage isnt too bad, it turns on and works fine, however the hinge on the right side is completely broken off, luckily it hit the right hinge, because the left hinge contains the wires =). Anyways i gonna try to post some pictures, meanwhile do any of you guys have a good idea to fix it, or know where i can get something like that fixed.

Call Nintendo customer services, the number can be found in the little book that came with the DS, or on Nintendo's website for your region.

They'll give you an address to post it to, and it'll be repaired/replaced within a week. Shouldn't cost too much.

Failing that, use some LIQUID polystyrene cement. NOT the gooey kind.

Its been less than one year right? Tell Nintendo that it started off as a crack on the hinge, and eventualy broke off. They'll give you a refurbished DSLite for free (Looks brand new).

I even told them that i didnt drop em, and he said this was the reduced price with the warrenty? Siiigh, guess i gonna bust out the liquid stuff that Mota recommended...=/

P.S Mota, where can i get that liquid cement?! =) much appreciated

Just buy a replacement case from http://nds-central.com/ they only cost $35.00 or on http://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=146.0 that guy is selling just his case without buttons for $20 and he is the admin of that site so he is trust worthy.  Or on the http://nds-central.com/ forum someone will prabaly sell you there old case that they replaced with a new one.

more or less the same thing happened with mine. but there were other things wrong with it.

basically i said the following:

1) Corner broke off on it's own (hmmm)
2) There was a stuck pixel (true)
3) The bottom screen was not centered (true)

I had to supply a receipt but they did replace it for free, otherwise without the receipt, it would have been £25.

I don't know which of the above qualified for the free replacement.
