OK I'm selling my SCDS1. It's barely been used ... maybe 2 hours' worth, but enough to be able to say it works. Still have the box, basically you'll be getting it same-as-new. I'm not a new face around here or gbatemp, so don't worry about a bad deal. Will ship by USPS to residents of USA for $45 total (based on estimate 40 + 5 for shipping).

pm me if interested. payment by USPS money order. (costs about 90 cents I think) I don't do paypal.

I would like to know too.

Not accepting paypal is a huge turnoff. Not saying that you are not a legit seller...but still. I would also like to know the reason for selling as well.

Sorry I checked back a couple times for pm's but didn't look at the actual thread.

I'm not doing paypal cuz I'm old (39) and personally not interested in sharing my bank account info like that. I don't do ebay either. You can call me an old stick in the mud if you like, but that's the way I am. A USPS money order is simple, trustworthy, and cheap. You WILL get what I'm selling, and I'll insure it just in case.

I'm selling it because I have a regular 1GB Sandisk microSD, and it's not fast enough for this card. Well, to be more specific, its not fast enough for this card with Doubutsu no Mori (japanese version of Animal Crossing). I'm not willing/able to drop the bucks on another microSD right now, and its a long story but basically if I can't run Doubtusu at 100%, then no dice. I have a SCLite which does this quite well with my old vanilla Sandisk, so I'm gonna stick with it for a while longer, even though it means patching and etc.

The SCDS works just fine. I tried it out with numerous games and they run just like they should. For that matter, Doubtutsu no Mori runs fine, except it is slow in loading and my wife complained that the old SCLite plays it ok, so she wants it back. It's the only game she plays and she's quite wrapped up in it - it's her daily escape. We have a special needs child - 15 months old - he has seizures, eating difficulties, and neurodevelopmental problems. Life is tough enough for my wife as it is, so I'm gonna do whatever it takes to keep her happy. The financial demands of having a baby like this is why I can't just casually buy another microSD.

If someone wants it, let me know.

I'll give this a couple more days before I sell locally. It's a good chance to save 20% or so if you're looking to buy a SCDS.

(BTW selling a flash cart to a friend or coworker is like an instant sale because they never knew it was even possible, but you become their free personal tech support for life. Please save me from this fate.     )

Well I have a coworker who might be buying this card from me, but she's kinda hot so it might not be such a bad thing in this case. (bangs head on desk .. why oh why did I get married?!?! oh well, I'm not a cheater so I'll just think about going fishing or something)

yeah I can post a couple pics tonight. It looks just like a SCDS1.

Hanafuda

Yeah the tech support thing is the worst.  Luckily the first cousin I had to provide this for was tech savy and was ok on his own.

Then he told the rest of the family...now I have to order 4 supercards, superkeys, sd cards, readers O_o

Kaphis

lol~ yea same here..I have ordered like 4 DS in the last month alone~

FWIW - The only times I've ever been ripped off online have involved USPS Money Orders.  The "protection" is offers is worthless.  If you get scammed, the USPS will do NOTHING!!!!

I have done over 400 Paypal transactions with zero problems.
