GBA Union not working

I thought I might bring up Shinster's topic about GBA Union between Aria and Dawn of Sorrow, but then I realized this is way more spread than just that game.
I correctly patch my NDS game with that option enabled, put my already patched GBA rom (with the same name as my NDS game) with it in my SCminiSD, load it from the .dsq but nothing seems to work. Don't get me wrong, it loads BOTH ROMs (instead of loading just the header for the NDS game, it goes up to 8MB, the size of the ROMs I tried this with), but there's no difference at all.

I've tried this to get the Rare Ring in Dawn of Sorrow and get MMZ3 and 4 bosses in MegaMan ZX, but there's no luck. The outcome is this:
-MegaMan ZX.dsq
-MegaMan ZX.sav
-MegaMan ZX.gba
(I can't get the GBA .sav as it would override the NDS', wouldn't it? Nor I see any relevance for the .sci here either.)

Is there any specific way to patch these ROMs in order to make them work together?H as anybody been able to use SuperCard's GBA Union option between a GBA and a NDS game already?
Thanks in advance for all the feedback you may give ;)

Yeah, couldn't make it work. Also I've read somewhere that you have to put a clean GBA rom in there. I tried that : still nothing lol.
DS Lite Onyx Black
Supercard Lite
Nintendo Wii (US)
PSP (Metal Gear PO Limited Edition)

Indeed. It doesn't even load it with the NDS ROM

GBA Union isn't perfect yet.  Actually, it's pretty crap.  I've never got it to work either :(

Zygarth

There's a difference between nds.sav and just .sav
So you can get the gba save on there.

Unless you change the ROMs name to plain .dsq, as I do
But still, I did read somewhere that GBA ROMs had to be "clean" in order to use them with GBA Union, so there's no way to import a .sav to them  :?
