I got my replacement in the mail today, and it works flawlessly.  Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that it was only a few first-batch cards that were faulty.

flawlessly how, exactly? Mine's working, but I wouldn't call it flawlessly. Are you saying you get no slowdowns in Animal Crossing and Metroid Prime Pinball?

aside from animal crossing, and metroid pinball, i haven't seen that much of a performance problem.  And i really like the interface.  When my EZV gets here i'll compare the two...
