I backed up my dslite with my ds-link.  The dslite that I backed up has flashme on it.
Now I'm going to use a friend's unflashed dslite to get a official dslite firmware.
Now if I unflash my dslite with with my ds-link, if I want to install flashme again can I use the backup that I made of my dslite's flashme with ds-link? or should I use flashme file that I originaly used to flash my dslite?

As it backs up the firmware completely it makes no difference how you do it. DS-link seems to be easier though.

well have you actually done it?
I just don't want to have an issue flashing it back.
I already made a back up up my ds-lite flashed firmware just to try out the backing up option.  "Basically to see how smoothly it went so when I go to my friends house I won't have an issue.  It's my friends mom's dslite, and my friend or her don't know anything other then going to the game store and buying a games, so I don't want to get them all worried."

So anyone who has backed up their flashed ds-lite, actually used that back up from ds-link to restore flashme later on?

Why would you backup your FLASHED DS?? After you back up his DS and grab that unflashed firmware, you can unflash yours. Want to flash again afterward? Run the backup program and choose to flash. The backup program has flashme built in :) Remember, if you unflash, you will be back to the way it was when you bought it....meaning if you want to go back to flashme you'll have to short sl1 again.
