Question:

So, just to confirm:

I currently have a Supercard Lite (the type that goes into the GBA slot) and I have a pass me device in the type 1 (DS) slot.  I know (or at least from what I have gleaned from this thread) that to get the Opera browser working, I need a type-1 flashcart.

I am currious, can anybody make any recomendations?  Cheap is good...  But it's important that it will allow me to use the Opera browser.

Thanks!

Shoelessone, yes you need a:

slot1: SCDS1 (or similar.)
slot2: sclite (which you already have.)

This setup works as i have the exact same one.

For the SCDS1 check out www.realhotstuff.com or just click the top banner of this page.

I'd like to support the supercard brand (though I don't have any REAL loyalty), but seeing as it is out of stock at least for a few weeks on realhotdeals (and most other places i've looked), would the R4DS be an acceptable alternative, or is it not up to SC(ONE) "standards"?

edit: thanks a lot by the way, I appreciate the help/your time :)

Emuboards has a very in-depth review of the R4 if you want to take a look.  It doesn't do a side-by-side comparison with the SC DS, but it's worth a read.

thanks, read the review....

now, i'm currious if it will work in conjunction with my DSLite Slot2 cart...

any confirmed cases of this combo working?

(and thanks again :))

just to confirm, you are speaking of the R4DS and Supercard Lite combo that works for you?

Also, I'm really sorry for asking so many questions, I've been in your shoes and it gets "frustrating"

BUT, how well does the browser work COMPARED to the "actual" browser?  I have heard there are problems with the browser if you run it from a flashcart, I'm wondering how significant the problems are?  Does the browser work almost the same as the "actual version", or does it glitch out/crash/freeze significantly more, do things not show up/work properly, etc?  How about networking issues, everything work as it should? (i'd assume yes on the later question)

Thanks again everybody!

Sorry to ask this, but how does one patch the browser for the R4DS browser?

Thanks!
