I've heard good things about these on the Gamespot forums, they say they extend your battery life by a TON.

Yea, I think it is safe. However, please note that 3rd party products suck... there was a topic where someone bought a higher capacity battery (which means play longer), but the battery time was less than the original DS battery! It's a scam....

I'm not sure I'd trust an $11 battery myself. The idea of a higher capacity battery is real and safe, but this exact one? Who knows.

Yep these batteries are crap. I got one of the exact same ones as that link and the battery life is way less than the origonal and doesn't work half the time.  Also they messed up on the contact part so if you push on the battery cover it will disconnect the battery.  I will sell it to someone for $5 if you want it or else Im trowing it away.
