SD-slot GPS receiver, DS possibilities?

Reading Engadget I came upon this:

Basically, It's a GPS receiver that you insert into your SD slot. It has a Micro-SD slot within the device so you can store maps on it (since the SD slot is now taken up).

I was wondering if it would be possible for this device to communicate with the Supercard SD and therefore the DS? It seems to be like a solution for SD users that want GPS but don't want to build an interface to the DS for one.

cant use it with SCSD seeing as it sticks out, and the scsd is a side loader so it wont work with it

I see, I didn't realize it was side loading.
