EZV first impressions

ok. what should i test? whether it can host games? etc? what is a good download play game to test with? sorry i never cared about that stuff, so I'm not sure off the top of my head

Nice evaluation of EZV sneef. So you like it better than SCDS then? I look forward to more information when you have the opportunity to test more.

Test like 5-6 games. Host with a flashme'd ds, and download with a normal unflashed ds.

Some good games to test:
Advance Wars
Tetris DS
Clubhouse Games
Mario Kart DS
Bleach DS
Big Brain Academy
Metroid Prime Hunters
New Super Mario Bros
Bomberman DS

Sneef you have any of the other slot 1s you could test out. I am really looking to buy one, and download play is kind of important to me as I don't have that many friends with flashme'd ds's.

tested advance wars. hosted on my flashed dslite from EZV. was able to play no problem on unflashed DSLite.

TEsting MKDS now...

mkds kept "downloading" forever.. but keep in mind, i'm using patched roms ("hybrid" mode). I have yet to try with clean roms. Unfortunately my roms are on my other pc, and I'm trying to use the little bit of free time I have to get my xbox 360 drive hacked.

I dont have much time lately, so I'm taking advantage of this evening.

I went ahead and sent an email to winsunx asking them to change my order to an R4DS, I don't know if they will change it but the price is the same and so is the availability, so hopefully they will. I'm sure the EZ-V is a great slot1 cart and I can always pick one up if the R4 sucks, but so far everyone seems impressed, so I thought I'd give it a go.

Thanks again for the info, I'll be sure to follow up on this thread to see what more you uncover - I'm sure lots of people here appreciate your effort!

one thing i uncovered was trying out sd speed "2" instead of 3.. I was worried to use it, since someone claimed that the fastest cards were only able to go between 3 and 5..

My transcend 80x microSD had no problems on 2, and the performance was very very fast.

BUT... I tried out the 1.1 firmware on my supercard DS one, and it really rocks! I guess I will probably end up having two good slot-1 devices.

Was playing CAstlevania POR till late in the night with no problems on the supercard DS one.. unpatched, clean rom.

Any chance you had anytime to try the Opera Browser?

Waiting for Supercard to throw on the 1.1 firmware to their site. Been down for about an hour now... so maybe they are updating.
