I'm thinking of getting the SuperCard LITE (microSD) & SuperKey or the SuperCard DS (ONE) microSD.

Well the Slot 2s generally need to be flashed.  If you have a Superkey, it just costs more.  Also the Slot 1s are 100% compatibility right now, and support is probably focused on their newest products.

On the flip side, you get GBA support and overall better homebrew (for now).

hmmmm all right thanks.

Guess i'll pick up a 1 slot for like lite then.  Already have a 2slot on my orig DS.

Hi

slot-1 has better game capatability. Need I say more?

Oh, and is the supercard superkey combo really more expensive?

if you do get a slot 2 solution, get the m3 mini or microSD versions that can play gba roms.... really, i feel the limitations of a supercard lite due to its slow RAM... -.- sigh... no ffvi smooth action... and other such games

is'nt SLOT 2 100% compatible anymore !? :)

im sure the DAT file update released recently made it 100% compatible at least with ds roms :)

excluding some homebrew and the opera browser :)

maby im wrong :)

Well yes, but it takes patches, and patches are slower than slot 1.  Chances are slot 1s will always be able to run the newest games, whereas the slot 2s will take a little longer for patches.

Umm

At the moment I'm not sure this is true, diddy kong patch was 1 day, and slot one's still have trouble on some games.

big advantage of slot one is -  no flashing, all in one, and easier (no patching roms)

advantage of slot 2, is better homebrew compatability (will change as software is updated slot 1 will work / DLDI) and GBA  - yes SC isn't perfect for gba but I can play more gba than on a slot 1

of course if you're really into homebrew then you may want both as the ram in SC is starting to be used and Slot one's have no ram.

I got my SC before it was a ds compatible solution so I'm really pleased, if I was looking as a new DS owner I'd probably go slot one despite my comments above - it's just tidier and doesn't look any different to a real card

couldn't tell you if I'd go SC or M3/R4 on slot one, from what I've read I like R4/M3 more but of course new firmware / software can change all that - look at the SC CF I have ! it was like Christmas come early when they updated firmware to do DS :-)
