hello, im going to go buy a sc sd rumble. is there any cons about this? i really dont care about gba support because, gbas dont run that well on sc anyways.

I have never really had any problem with my supercards except if you do get a SD one it will stick out of your DS and if you have a DS lite you wont be able to stand it how much it sticks out, but besides that I think supercard is the best way to go.

You can't use the Opera patch with SC Rumble, but you need a slot-1 card to run Opera as well...

Without the RAM, you will be very limited in DSLinux, and you won't be able to use SnezziDS at all.  If you don't care about SNES emulation, or can live with just SNES DS and SNEmulDS, then you're okay without SnezziDS.  However, if you want to be able to browse the web without crashing, and if you want the ability to unzip files directly on your SD card, you'll need the extra RAM.

Those are the only two main downsides I can think of.

"and if you want the ability to unzip files directly on your SD card, you'll need the extra RAM."

what do you mean by that? i have to unzip files at other places. lol? i had a scsd but it broke.

dantheman

I mean that the "unzip" command in DSLinux was recently enabled in the builds that have support for extra RAM.  For instance, you can use Retawq or Links to download a .zip file off the web and then unzip directly on the DS, no computer necessary.

lmao. okay, thanks everyone that responded. ill be buying my scsdr soon.

haven't tested the SD Rumble version, but the microSD (lite) Rumble motor can be very noisy.

the rumble feature didn't tempt me to buy it, but the lower price over the non-rumble version did.

if you're a "normal" user and only want to play DS games then the rumble is ideal. if you want to be l33t and run homebrew, or retro and play gba games and prior, then get a non rumble.

rishard10212

yea i actully wanna play nds games more than gba and stuff. gba compat is not that good on sc anyways. homebrew i can live without but i kno that moonshell works. yea and its the low price i like.

hye, i wanna ask question about the SC SD Rumble..does it support Wifi??  :?  thanks in advance

kkan

I have 3 ds's  2 PHAT and 1 lite and 3 sets of supercard RUMBLE Mini Sdcards cards with superkeys and ALL support WIFI gaming/games just fine and work with all WIFI games  :)

it's DOWNLOAD PLAY that tends to be the issue with some games rather than the WiFi :)

RUMBLES work just great if DS is all you want and as above the RUMBLES tend to be cheaper than none rumbles and thats the reason I have 3 of them  :)

and as with all SUPERCARDS they now have 100% game compatibility to date  :)

and no doubt for future too  :)

quite a lot of homebrew does actually run with the exception of those that do require extra ram but ..... I have gba flash cards that i can use for things like emulators etc :)

depends on how desperate you are for the homebrew stuff you could always buy a gba flash card later on they are pretty cheap now for the smaller sized ones 1gb etc :)

sure OPERA does not work but there are homebrew browsers in development that will resolve that problem  :)

If you don't care about GBA support, my personal advice would be to get yourself an M3 or R4. That will require no Supekey/Superpass and no patching for the ROMs, while keeping a ~100% compatibility.
intendo DS Lite (White) + Supercard Lite + R4 + Sandisk 1 GB MicroSD
Sony PSP + Firmware 3.03 OE-A2

rishard10212

well, i already have a flashed ds. my supercard broke. like really broke. my fat brother sat on it. >_>
