Is there a faq or something on this cause ive tried everything ive been told to do.  Do i need a .sav file for each NES game?  How do i save it to the SD card like i can the GBA games?  (as you can see i have zero problems saving my GBA games but upon reload i get a blank screen for a few seconds before it comes back on)

I am also lost on this and require assistance.

From what I gather, it's like saving to any gba game in that you need a .sav file named exactly the same as your .nes file (ex mario.nes & mario.sav).  after that, you save state in the emulator (with L+R and the savestate), and normal save through flashcart firmware...I think...

however this does not work for me.  I've tried various .sav files--even the ones from this site and I still cannot get the 'normal save' dialog to appear.  On a search of previous similar topics I came across the mention that for a few days the firmware didn't support NES saving, but it was quickly corrected without version change.

I'd like to reflash my firmware, but I have no idea what version to use.  It seemed like the newest SD version was for NDS users, is it for regular users as well?  how do I check my firmware version?

before seeing this post, I was simply going to wait for the next version of firmware, so the confusion I had would clear up.

After you do the "save state" Exit the nes emulator, L+R+SELECT+START and then hit right to go to the "saver" menu, pick the game you want to save the state for.  then you can load that state.

ohhh, you have to exit...
I bet I'm all fixed then
thanks

(I was thinking about the problem too hard to try that)

yeah, i do think it's kind of a hassle, but it can at least be done.

i wish it would just save to the card when you save the state.  oh well.
