It should grant read access, although writing access does not work at the moment.

ah ok. now it starts without this initializing screen and the dancing cow. it connects online to this database but when the download is finished and i try to start (for example) "oil panic" i get a black screen with "fat initializing" and nothing happens.

You *also* have to patch the exec_stub.bin file (same way you patched the .nds file) to allow DSO to load homebrew apps.It is located in the "RESOURCES" folder...

But doesn't the Homebrew Database download the program and load it onto the media card?  If the driver doesn't work for writing, then patching exec_stub isn't going to help, as the program will never be written on the card in the first place.

Then again, I could be wrong.  I don't have an SCLite so I can't personally see the effects of the driver.

Well, he is saying that he successfully downloads oil panic, but it is freezing upon execution. If write functions do not work, he can still patch the exec_stub and run homebrew (without the freesing at initialize fat), although he would have to download via PC and simply copy it to his card as opposed to the DB.

i did not try this extra patching thing yesterday... but i generally have problems with homebrew-programms and games. the most don't start correctly and i got black or white screens... the tutorials are often not really n00b-friendly and say just "download und copy to card" but if it does not start/work there ist no help file. i download them, try the different files and if it doesn't work i delete them. i don't want to bother you all with simple questions about every step but if s.o. have a good link to a site which explains a little bit about all this i would be thankful.

The latest DSO fixed all my problems with my SCLite (booting and writing). The only thing im having trouble with now are ComicBookDS files which DSO can't seem to launch.
Awesome app regardless.

=)

Quote from: "DeVS"Ohh and anyone know of any other icon packs for DSO besides the 3 on his site?

Where are these?

Hey everyone...

I have Sclite fw 1.63 Mooshell V 1.51. When I tried Dsorganize v2.45b, this is what my experiences were:

btw - I only tried it because v2.3 corrupted my fat card...good thing i could back up most of my data.

I read to first patch the normal .nds with dldi, then use scmhbp to it. I tried that. Results:
- Stuck at dancing cow.

I then just copied the packaged sc.nds file without patching it and it worked.

What I dont understand is the following:
- PPl say that writing does not work BUT I can still have todo lists, and vcf files...

Another quesiton I have is why didnt the dldi method work for me? I thought this dldi business was the magical solution to all of lifes problems. Also, isnt the new dsorganize supposed to have a wav recorder? Where can I find this?

Supercard SD works with the .sc.nds, you do get the dancing cow, but a little patience will fix that.

Create a file named whatever.wav and when it's highlighted you'll see a record option and a play option. I think it's obvious after that.

Thanks about the .wav trick. It should have been obvious - my apologies.

While I was testing streaming audio with aac mp3 @ 20k bitrate I noticed the following:

After about 10minutes of playing, the DS will freeze and a repetitive audio sound will keep on playing. Sometimes DSorganize is still functional but even if you try to play another mp3 file over the annoying repetitive 'stuck note', it will not play over it.

Malereka, only some newer Supercard Lites are affected by the issue, which caused DSOrganize to freeze up all the time.  With this beta driver, at least read access is granted.

On a related note, there appears to be a newer test driver available.  Could someone with the SCLite issue test http://www.sendspace.com/file/5j8j65 and see if writing now works?
