Customizing a SCDS

I recently got a SCDS and I've have some questions about it and its configuration.

1. SCDS uses a MoonShell based GUI. If a newer version is released, can I update it? I mean, not use MoonShell from within SCDS, but rather use it instead of the version that comes with the newest firmware.

2. I've noticed that the touch screen control is kinda... clumsy. Whenever I touch a game, it starts to load itself. Is there a way to configure it to make it use a "double click" or something like that?

3. I get an error screen when SCDS starts. I guess this is impossible to avoid, I read that the M3 Simply has it too, and I suppose it comes from MoonShell itself... I used to get it too when I loaded MS in my SC miniSD. Any way to get rid of this? Or at least, expect it to be fixed in future releases?

4. Whenever I start my SCDS, it takes a couple seconds doing "something" before making the start up sound. What's that? Is there a way to skip this?

5. Not so related to the other questions, but PoR still crashes on my card. It's a 1GB Trascend TF, I'm using a clean ROM with the latest firmware. Anything to improve its compatibility?

6. Could somebody explain what is that "card speed" option? I can get games to work with a maximum of x3 speed, if it's higher than that, I get dual white screens.

7. Lastly, should I patch my games with the patching soft? Is there any advantage over using clean ROMs, asides from reset, cheats and more savers? Or the other way round, clean ROMs over patched?

Thanks in advance.

3) a feature of Moonshell v1.41
4) saving your previous game
5) get a faster card (Toshiba works at 30x)
6) your TF card is slow
7) maybe

Kudaku

Thanks, Sarah. Could you be a little more specific in your answers, please?

Nope. I ordered it online, I assumed they would send me the same model, as they did with my miniSD cards. Guess I got scammed  :?
BTW, Castlevania DoS' intro is lagging... I won't buy in that store again, they charged my for a good card but it seems they send them randomly. You may get an x80 or an x3...  :x

Sorry for the DP, but I think this is worth mentioning.
I mailed my SCDS supplier, and he answered me just now. He said that this product in particular, the SuperCard DS One, doesn't work well with most TransFlash/microSD cards. They are looking for Japanese Kingstons, which are said to be the best out there for SCDS.
So, for people that have trouble with your SCDS performace or are thinking on buying one, check that your TF card is well supported by the hardware ;)
