Update R4 v1.06 kernel (Test edition) 2007-1-13
1)Here " Only show the game " The way, shielding attribute is " Hide " File and catalogue display
2)Can use L key is it adjust luminance to come (touch still effective originally)
3)The storehouse of the original complex form of a simplified Chinese character is tightenned and shown
4)It is in a poor light to close the top cover and close(the electric function in the province)
5)Support and is restored to the throne the function (L +R +A +B +X +Y) softly ,Use R key or touch " Restored to the throne the switch softly " Come to turn on or off and is restored to the throne softly
(Restoring to the throne joining softly after formal edition of MOONSHELL1.6 will be announced of multimedia. )

Nice additions. All work too.

1. Sleep mode while in the system directory (not just in games now)
2. Brightness setting now with icon or L key (in game menu only)
3. Soft reset On or Off (your choice). Lets you use key combo (L+R+A+B+X+Y) while in game.
4. Hidden Files (that was done in 1.05) by hitting select (in game menu only)

They also changed the selection highlight and scrollbar in the Games listing screen. Highlight Bar is now two toned white and blue and the Scrollbar actually is scrolling now.

Now M3 Simply needs this too and were all set. The Soft Reset is a HUGE thing to have... and Sleep Mode is a great addition too.

In the previous firmware, hidden files could still be seen. They are now invisible in the new firmware.

Really? I just tried 1.05 and in the games menu screen, I can hide my files and just display the game names by hitting select. I don't see any differences for this between 1.05 and 1.06. Checked around and everyone is saying it is no different.

Maybe you have to set the file as hidden while in Windows, and pushing select toggles showing hidden files on and off?  That's my take on it.

In firmware version 1.05 if you pressed select (i believe...) it would hid all files that do not end with .nds

I know this is way way off topic, but I am asking anyways.

On the R4 front sticker... is it silver metallic or white? In all the pics, it looks white, but mine is silver. Just curious.
