I apologize if I didn't search hard enough to start out with. I just lost my patience with this.

I've read around gbatemp and scdev forums about usage of the MK4 Mini Dump and I've been confused on wheather it works or not on the SC DS + Slot2 SC card (SD and Lite-Rumble).

And if it works; how?
I can't run the dump clean, and patching doesn't work.

Yes, it should work. The MK4 dump needs to be patched before it will work with slot2 cards. You can manualy patch the MK4 dump by pre-pending ndsloader.bin or you can use the latest version of scmhbp tool created by ratx.

When you run the MK4 dump from a slot2 device you will be presented with the menu option to "Boot from . . NDS slot" by pressing the A button twice.

omg, thank you Bitblt, I totally forgot about patching the header...
Trying it now.

I just tried the patch on both DS and GBA versions on the dump and none of them work on my Supercard SD or Lite-Rumble.

Will I still be able to patch games with DMA mode?

The MK4 dump works fine with my Supercards CF/SD/miniSD with 1.70 firmware. Maybe it doesn't work with some newer Supercards?

pre-patched MK4 dump . . .

I have a old supercard SD from summer 2006, the one before the new design to avoid fakes.

Trying the pre-patched with a CLEAN SD full format to FAT 64k clusters.
If this doesn't work I will shoot myself... :D

Work's on my SC SD one time only and my SC Lite Rumble is a no go.
Any lasting comments guys? I am about to give up and live with what I got.

What do you mean by one time?
Are you talking about cycling from slot 1 to slot 2 back to slot 1 and then to slot 2 and it won't work after that?

bitblt

Yeah, what do you mean one time? So it's working now right?

Depending on your hardware configuration it may only work one time without a power cycle. You can use LoveLite to go from your slot1 back to your slot2.

I put the patched version on my G6 Lite to try and boot my SC:DS.  The MK4 firmware loads, but it gives me some "not found" error when I try to boot to slot 1.
