I just got a brand new M3 Simply (which I exchanged for my SCDS... sorry, didn't like it...) and I'm in love with it.
I get freezes on Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, but everything except that works flawlessly. I currently have my microSD formated in FAT32 4KB (I can't format it with bigger clusters). So, I was wondering, which format's better: FAT32 with 4KB clusters or FAT16 with 64KB clusters? And, why?

Castlevania PoR seems to be buggy with crappy ram on M3 Simply/R4. I've heard FAT16 with 64KB clusters helps all round.

Well, I'm not really interested in PoR. I guess this freezes happen to everyone, so I'll just buy the original when it comes to Europe.
So, FAT16 64KB is better overall? I think I read that bigger clusters are better, but you end up with more "eaten" space. Or something like that.

Edit: just to try it out, I formated it in FAT16 64KB. All I have to say is: "awesome". PoR runs flawlessly, Animal Crossing gets ZERO graphical lag and everything works faster.

There really isn't a reason to format with FAT32 unless you have a card larger then 4 gigs (I believe that's the FAT 16 limit... or was it 2 gigs? Pretty sure it was 4 though)

i have R4/kingston 1g FAT16 64k and it still hangs in POR.
any other alternatives?? tnx!

The M3 Simply and R4 have no RAM... Only GBA carts have RAM...

Yeh...I think he meant with a crappy SD card
