I downloaded MoonShell Version 1.6 finalfinalbeta0 and MoonShell Version 1.6 finalfinalbeta1.

I put the 'moonshl' folder from beta0 onto the root of my microSD.

In the zip file of beta1, there is a file called MoonShell_R4TF_M3Simply-R4DS (MicroSD Card)

I renamed that file to '_DS_MSHL.NDS' and put that onto the root of my microSD.

Moonshell is not loading.

Are these two versions incompatible? AFAIK, there is no moonshl folder in beta1 to use...

BTW, moonshell16finalbeta4 is working fine

Just download moonshell 1.6 for M3 Simply directly from M3Adapter.com:

http://down.gbalpha.com/Softwares/M3adapter/M3DS_Simply/moonshell_1.6final.zip

It works for me.
