i'm thinking about getting one.  they seem pretty decent but playing the metroid and f-zero games is a must.  has anyone gotten any of these games to work correctly with no slowdown or anything?  it's wierd that there's problems considering it loads to ram and should be able to run as reliable as an original or a flash cartridge.  hopefully it's not due to using bad quality ram but the slowdown kind of concerns me is there any proof that this is firmware related.  anyone know the brand of chip used in this thing?

NT

Unfortunately there is slowdown in some of the Metroid and F-Zero games.  Check our master compatibility list for detailed information on these games.

Romman has stated that some games cannot be fixed to work on the Supercard, but he didn't say which ones.  I don't know which chips are used on the card.

ah, that sucks.  looks like it's back to buying a spendy flash cartridge.  all because my stupid turbo cart crashes on the ds.  lame..  too bad the supercard has these problems.  i don't really want to wait around for a revision, but maybe i will.  flash carts are so overpriced.  one thing's for sure, the price they go for has stopped at least one person from buying a new one. err...

Hectic

actually, i think i'll still get one for the simple fact that it's a measly $40 and i think that's a reasonable price for the things it does.  this way, i can still get my gba fix on my ds while i wait for a revision, or for flash cartridges to stop being so rediculously overpriced if that ever happens.  i already spent $120 for a 16MB cartridge a few years ago.  another $200 for a new 1024Mb cartridge would put me into the "ripped off" category imo.

NT

It's not really $40.  Make sure you look at the shipping and Paypal fees.  My total was around $67 shipped to the US.  If you're cool with the games that are listed as not working on our compatibility list, go for it.

I went to Hong Kong for a vacation on 19th January 2005
i went there to visit my oversea friends

One morning i went shopping to buy my digital camera (Sony Cybershot T11)
i happen to saw a GBA backup thingy (i'm not sure what it was, since i didnt expected)... since i have to buy the multi card reader, i thought it would be a great idea to buy the SuperCard

(at that time)
$5.8 HKD = $1 AUD
  $1 AUD = $0.77 USD

(Now)
SuperCard
So... i bought it, since it was sooooo CHEAP!!!
$330 Hong Kong Dollars = $54.7 AUD = $42.3 USD
----------------------------------------------------------------------
CF-512mb
$380 HKD = $65.5 AUD = $48.7 USD
----------------------------------------------------------------------
21 in 1 Card Reader/Writer
$100 HKD = $17.2 AUD = $12.8 USD
=======================================
Total : $810 HKD / $137.4 AUD / $103.8 USD

Overall :

That's a good deal.  The Supercard really is a no-brainer if you don't have to pay the S+H and Paypal fees.
