· More commercial changes are forthcoming to the M3 DS Simply. Due to a reported shortage, all future retail packaging will include only one color casing from now on. There is no word on if this is permanent or will also affect R4 and the upcoming G6 DS. Each color of white and dark grey will continue to be available. Future buyers will have to make a choice in advance, unlike the lucky buyers of the first batch.
· Retail production of the G6 DS 8GBit and 16GBit should be ready within a month and will find its way into stores shortly thereafter. G6 DS pricing is still to be announced, although Danny has stated that it will not be expensive.
· The team still intends on releasing the G6 Lite 8GBit, but it remains a possible candidate for cancellation.
· At the present time, M3Adapter.com's e-mail service is experiencing technical difficulties as well as a backlog of unanswered mail. If you have attempted to contact the team for any reason, you may wish to attempt again a week later. Of course, if you have any minor questions about their products, then you may always feel free to ask them here in our forums...and you should!
· My personal M3 DS Simply / R4 skins have been mentioned over at M3's News Section. They are available (and hosted thanks to shaunj66 and company) here at GBATemp. More skins will be forthcoming of course.
· Finally, to address the constant discussions involving M3 DS Real, Danny has confirmed that the team is currently developing a 32MB/256Mbit memory expansion cart that inserts into the Slot-2 bay of the DS. However, the mention of this accessory stems from a work-in-progress period. Until the final design and feature list is publically announced by Team G6/M3, please remember that this expansion cart is not guarenteed to become an official part of the M3 DS Real retail package.

I hope it's compatible with the M3 Simply. I'd feel cheated if not. They released a new flashcart one month ago, and now they're about to sell a better one already...

Edit: Bolded at Sam's request ;)

Neat! Maybe you could bold the bit about the M3 Real so people won't have to CTRL+F

So it's the M3 Simply with an additional RAM pack included for the Slot-2. Hopefully it'll be sold seperately as well.
*Adam's Sell/Trade List*
GBMicro (U): 20th Ed. - 2GB Ultra MiniSD
NDSLite (U): Jet Black - M3 Simply w/ 1GB Sandisk

I guess not, they'll sell less that way :/

I don't think so. At least, most Simply users will want it, so the M3 Team would have already sold the flashcart, they won't be losing any money at all.
Unless, of course, that this new M3 is indeed a new piece of hard, more expensive in the first place... I hope not.

Yeah I hope they sell it seperately... hope it also can be supported by R4 since I just picked myself up one. If they don't officially do so, I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to "unofficially" support it if it does work with the M3 simply.

Being able to fully link GBA and DS games through something like that would be nice (finally be able to use the band brothers expansion)

SmashAdams

What would the function of the expansion pack be besides letting the Opera browser be run?

dantheman

GBA games/hombrew for one thing.  GBA stuff cannot run from slot 1 at all, or even a slot-2 card that doesn't have RAM, like the SC Rumble.

This would also enable some DS homebrew that uses GBA RAM to work on the M3 Real, like SnezziDS for instance.

Koji

Yeah the biggest regret I have from completely selling my slot 2 and getting a slot 1 was that I lost most SNES support (games bigger then 2 megs won't fit in memory with the emulator program). If I had seriously given it thought before I sold it I wouldn't have just for that since good games like Chrono Trigger are finally making good progress.

Just means I need to pickup a cheap slot 2 and a small card for it if the M3 slot-2 part of the real isn't compatible with M3 simply/R4
