I think   a possible solution could be the HEX EDITING OF THE ROM that causes the erasing of you NDS firmware, in order to let everyone know how to recognize and avoid (hex editing every homebrew) this bastardbrew roms, i HATE DARKSUCKER AND ALL ARE BEHIND THIS INFAMOUS ACT!!!  :twisted:

so doeas have imagets/text etc of the HEX image of this rom please post it anywhere...thanks

Hello mgarrine,

This is a possible solution, however it will be far from perfect as the code can be compressed or encrypted and we won't be able to detect it. And also i am sure that they are many ways to destroy a DS programmatically.
The most reliable solution is to flash your DS, so the emergency recovery code is still available (as it is write protected).

Yes, it is only a simple solution to avoid the visible part of the iceberg, yes the other part under the water could be compressed code, encrypted and so on...

i think the bes think is to flas your ds, but a lot of people as me are not so  good in hardwareeing with the ds(not software problem) , so the flashing is still saw as a diffiuclt thing to do...

however please someone post the hex code of the r0mloader...it would be good for all of us.. :idea:

Flashing your DS is not a difficult process, it takes less than 5 minutes with a screwdriver and something to short the SL1 contact. However if your DS is already damaged by the malicious code, the process is more difficult but can be done anyway : go to darkfader page and look for the ppflash file, it contains everything you need to restore your DS (but not your supercard).

i thought ppflash was for use with a parallel port...  and you have to solder your own connection..  so the file isn't all you need.

You need to have a parallel port, some wires (maybe some other stuff i can't remember) and most important : some soldering skills.
