Hi, I've bought a SuperCard Lite and a SuperKey and they're on their way in the mail.

I was wondering if I bought a game from a store, would the online play work fine?

As I said before I will have a SuperCard and SuperKey and I will be running the new 1.8 firmware on my SuperCard, WILL NOT BE RUNNING A FLASHED DS.

I know I'm not very detailed when I explain things so I'll give an example :).

EXAMPLE:
My SuperCard and SuperKey arrive and I install the firmware, patch some games (both DS and GBA), install and run some homebrew. I decide to buy Animal Crossing: Wild World from a local games store because I want to play online with my friends. I go home and put it into the NDSL, after removing the SuperCard and SuperKey.

Would the I be able to go play online with the bought game after that process?

Thanks for your time.

Yes, why wouldn't it work?

Hell, even running a ROM off the Supercard you can play online.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Games you buy from a store will absolutely work as they should. Supercard Lite and Superkey do not permanently change anything about your DS. Take them out of your DS and your DS is exactly the same.

Game ROMs that you run on your Supercard will also play online perfectly. There are no issues running online games with Supercard or any other flash card device.  The only problem is running game ROMs using local wireless "Download Play". however you can usually play local wireless games if everyone has a Supercard and the same game ROM. Only Download Play is an issue.

Most "Download Play" games WILL work if all DS's playing are flashed.

I hate these questions.
You can go online but you can't use the nintendo ds browser cuz that needs a SLOT-1 + Expansion or a Slot-1 + Slot-2 with ram.

Awesome, thanks for the responses guys, wanted to be sure. I never knew that ROMs could go online, I thought games had individual friend codes, one per game.
Sorry if it sounded stupid. Thanks again :).

Games do have individual friend codes, one per game. It's not the most convenient system, but it works.
And don't worry about it. Everyone is a beginner once.

not all games require a friends code most racing games do not and 42 all time classics does not need them and metroid prime either or YU-GI-OH games :)

in fact theres probs loads more  :)
