When you push this button down, it moves some slots on the back of the thing... Anyone got a clue what this is for?  Even just the slightest rumor?

Despensing PEZ? Best I could come up with. It looks like it should latch on to something... it could possibly be for 3rd party developers to be creative? XD Maybe there's some sort of rubber padding thing or weird grip Nintendo is trying to make.

i remember reading something about it before.. can't remember what.. it definitely looks like it's supposed to latch onto something.. at first I thought maybe it could latch onto the wiimote so the classic controller would have tilt-sensing, but there's no place on the wiimote to latch onto.

I love the classic controller though.  Lately, a lot of people seem to think it's only for VC games, but earlier on in the wii pre-release stage, I remember reading that there would be wii titles that use the classic controller.  titles which aren't suited to the wiimote/nunchuk combo

It really pisses me off that Metal Slug doesn't use the Classic controller.

I heard the Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii will use the Classic Controller only.

I think that in a firmware update they'll probably make the classic controller usable for GC games... that's the only complaint (and a reasonable one, too) that I've seen for this controller, anywhere.  I have to admit, it is VERY comfortable.  I thought you needed GC-style grips to be comfortable, but no more.

Hmm... would be kinda cool if they made a transmitter-only adapter, so you plug the classic controller into this little box and then attach the little box to the bottom, wrapping the cord around it so it's not flopping around.  Maybe make it have one of those auto-retractor things like you get on laptop mice or those nice 3rd party DS headphones.
