Memory Card Compatability

Hey guys,

I just ordered an R4, and I ordered a memory card with it. Well, I should've checked before I ordered it if it's compatible with the R4 or not.

But is this one compatible with the R4?

Kingston is considered one of the best. You should be fine.

No. That's an SD card and what you need is MicroSD. Also mind with the Kingston ones to not get a Taiwanese one, but a Japanese one. The latter are way faster and better for R4.

SD, MiniSD and MicroSD.

Ok, thank you for confirming that for me. I'll go with the Sandisk one on their site.

Sandisk will work well with the R4 right?

It's a microSD. Is that a pretty fast card? I know it's only 512mb, but there's no way I'm paying $48 for a 1Gb.

Oops sorry about that, didn't realise it was a full sized SD you were showing there....

Sandisk is fine too.

Well, it'll work fine on I think all games except Castlevania PoR. 32 bucks is a lot for a 512MB MicroSD though! Especially in the US they come much cheaper. Search around these forums for a Japanese Kingston 1GB. Way cheaper, I think half the price, and much better performance.

hm, depending on where you live.. (probably the states) this site could host cheaper microSDs... here

And I know there are many other places to get a memory card, for much cheaper. But again, I'm ordering by money order. So not everyone accepts them, and I don't really want to send to two different money orders out, to two different places.

So, here's another question: You guys probably know more about RealHotStuff than I do. And I believe they're not around today, since it's Sunday. Because I haven't recieved an email back. But anyways, I put in my order, for the R4, and the 1Gb SD card. Then, i found out the SD card isn't the one I need. So, I emailed RHS and asked them to change my order, from the 1Gb kingston, to the 512 mb Sandisk.

So, I already got the money order. Do you think it would be safe to mail it to them right now, eventhough I haven't gotten a confirmation back from them yet about the 512mb card? And it would probably be ok to use the same invoice number, that I got with my order, that had the 1Gb card, right?

So basically, you think its alright to go ahead and put my money order int he mail, without having gotten an email back from them yet.
