Quite a boost to compatibility versus the alpha, gotten quite a few more games to work, or go in further. Noticing a lot less sound skipping, I assume that's because of the boost in speed. Several of my favorite puzzle games now work since you can manually select layers (before all the sprites would end up behind the background layer, rendering them unplayable) All and all I'm very very pleased. Still plenty of other games to test out though.

Alright, I've started a new chart on the SNEmulDS compatibility list, as the old one was getting seriously out of date.  Contributions are welcome.

ya i tried that, stil lget the same error, maybe im patching it wrong? can someone uplaod their patched version for me?

dantheman

Try this - http://dannysied.googlepages.com/SNEmulDSv04.zip

It contains two versions, one patched with the original SCSD.dldi file and one patched with SCSD_moon.dldi

Make sure the SNES directory is in the root of your card.

Version 0.4 Final has been released!  Details are in the first post.  DKC2 now works correctly, which is a major plus for me.

Great great great news. Can't wait to mess around some more with chrono trigger to see just how far I can get without it bugging. Also a great oppurtunity to test out some games that were nearly working.

Saving the options was one of the things I was looking forward to most. -runs off to test-

Tried disabling sound or enabling Wait Vblank or disabling speedhacks?  :)

I'll edit this post once I determine whether it's playable or not.  At least it boots.

EDIT:  wtf?  It booted the first time...

EDIT 2:  okay, just disable sound for it to boot correctly.  Leave the other options as they are.  For some reason, it tends to crash the SNEmulDS config menu, which has just turned blank.  If I touch in the right area for "Options" I get the options menu, but I can't change anything.

In any case, with the default settings, it doesn't look like it's playable.  I can't seem to get past these textboxes at the beginning.  It's like it's frozen.

I remember that game having major issues with other emulators, and it appears that this one too can't play the game very well.  Again, sound must be off for it to continue.  Also, the text only appears when you have No Vblank set, which causes flickering.  In addition, when you get to the first view of that continent in the sky, you have to switch backgrounds to 3333 to show the background, but this renders text invisible.

I also think I somehow made it freeze at the name selection screen, but I don't know enough about the game to verify it.  =/

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason you can't test these games yourself?

Shinster

Of course I can. Just wanna mess with you guys. XD I mean, you're not mad, right? :(
