How do I transfer files via Wifi?

I first bought a SCCF. After using it for roughly 8 months it would no longer recognize all three of my CF cards. I assumed a connection or pin inside became broken.

I then bought a SC mini SD. After using that for about 6 months the same thing is now happening. If I wiggle the SD card around with my fingernail when it is inside the SC I can sometimes get it to be recognized, 9 times out of ten though it says "cannot find sd".

I now have to purchase another device and have decided on the R4. As you can imagine I am concerned that I will run into the same issue at some point.

Ultimatly I would prefer the DSX as you just plugin a usb cable to it but I am not willing to pay the high price for it with only 512MB.

So the question is, if I get the R4 is there a way to tranfer files to it via Wifi? Also, can I delete files from it via Wifi as well?

You can use DSFTP, which supports the DLDI interface, but it would be rather slow, at about 30 kb per second.  I've also had it fail on me when transferring larger files.  You can delete files on your card though.

So yeah, it's possible, but I wouldn't really count on it.  DSFTP is mostly useful for transferring a few small homebrew games to your DS without having to unplug everything.

That is a shame that the max speed is around 30k. I assume that is because the ds is limited to that speed, or is it the ftp app?

Either way, thanks for the reply.
