#1 - (RAWR. See lowest post.)

(old firmware)Self test:

Sram ok!
Sdram ok!
flash id ok!
flash error:
11
SD/MMC ok!
not find test file
now SD version: 1.63

What happenes is that when booting with a MK4, the text on the menu turns into a bunch of scribbly symbols. DS roms do not work, infinite loading time ( 83652k//00742k), etc. NES and GBC roms crash the menu as well. GBA's still work. This is from 1.63 though, now everything just gives white screens, but that's another problem. When booting from the GBA slot, same results, except the DS roms are of course not available there.

Now I've asked this before here, and have been getting by by putting a couple note card pieces in the GBA slot, not wanting to risk the 100% fix, superglue. Cards work about 70% of the time though. The ends of the supercard were kinda seperated, seperating the metal bits between the DS and supercard; and the note cards usually fixed that. So today I decided to superglue the seperated ends of the supercard together. Now it should work perfectly, but it does not. It still gives me the same scribbly symbols effect unless I put note cards in, which I am sick of doing. The self test is also the same as before I 'fixed' it.

So essentially, my 'fixed' supercard is still not fixed.

#2 - FIX'D (Put M4 switch to GBA..)

Firmware 1.70. Just updated to this with the .bin file, hoping to kill some GBA slowdowns. All games before this, in 1.63, worked, with some GBA and GBC exceptions. Now after 1.7, every game loads up (7573k/7573k), then goes to double white screens and freezes. I've repatched one game so far with software 2.58, Sigma Star Saga for GBA, but it still goes to white screens.

#3 - FIX'D (Yes they do work from 1.63 to 1.7)

Do .sav files still work from 1.63 to 1.7? I tried this with Fire Emblem 7, using both old .sav and new repatched .gba, and importing the 1.63 .sav file into the new software, which gave me a 0kb file. Both didn't work. So how do I convert them?

#4 - FIX'D (No conversion required, at least for me)

After getting mad at all this, I found that my 1.63 Fire Emblem .sav works perfectly in Visual Boy Advance, no conversions at all. Is it possible to reverse this, and put a VBA .sav into my Supercard?

#5 - FIX'D (NVM, see lower post)

How can I get DSOrganize working under 1.7? The included .sc.nds file gives white screens.

1) Sounds like a hardware problem?

2) If you upgrade to firmware 1.70 then you will need to re-patch your clean dump ROMs with the latest patcher software. Remove the old ROMs from your Supercard before you copy the latest patched ROMs back over. A fresh format wouldn't hurt. Make sure you backup your SAV files first.

Use this list for best patcher options . . .

3) I know old and new DS saves are compatible as long as the exact same name is used. I'm not sure if GBA support is broken with the latest firmware. I haven't tried running GBA stuff lately.

4) Yes DSOrganize works fine with Supercard miniSD. Make sure you are using the correct version. The BLUE version works with supercard SD/miniSD. Actually, the very latest DSOrganize versions support DLDI and should work with most slot1/slot2 devices when properly patched.

I've had success using the stock *.sc.nds file included with the latest DSOrganize v2.45, no DLDI patching needed.

OK, update. Turns out that 1.7 didn't kill my supercard, it killed compatibility with my MK4. It all works from the GBA slot, aside from working around problem #1, the flash cards. No repatching roms, .sav files were perfect compatible, EVEN the Fire Emblem one which i had played a few levels on VBA and then put back into the SC, no conversion crap at all! Slow games were still slow, however. So I'm going to look into flashing my DS Phat, unless there's some kind of fix for my MK4?

Anyway, #1 is the main antagonist here. I'm worried that the flash cards are cracking my SC with pressure; I think I can see a few already. Anyone had this problem before?

Update again. Turns out that for some reason, setting the M4 switch to GBA fixes everything. So one more question then, for #1. Are there any DS apps that I can use to launch Roms from? DS, GBA, GBC, NES; all the ones Supercard natively runs.
