Hi all, we have finally been able to get the router working with two computers using NetGear WGT264v3(i think  ).

Since everything is now running smooth and i tried Opera DS patched for SC but when trying to search for access point it gives me the following error.

"The access point's security settings are not supported by the Nintendo DS"

What should i do so it does not mess what is already working and yet get my DS Opera working?

Thanks

Zygarth

SSID broadcast has to be enabled and The DS can't handle anything above WEP128, so no WPA or WPA2.

Once you set up your router with the WEP encryption and also set up your DS to access it, I don't think you NEED SSID to be enabled if you set your DS with the router's name.

I don't have SSID enabled and I can access our hotspot.
But my router is a WAP54G.
Current setup:
Onyx DSlite/R4DS/SCminiSD
2gig Transcend card for the SCminiSD
2gig Kingston for the R4DS
4 gigglingbytes of games/apps! WOOT!

Right.  Homebrew requires SSID Broadcasting to be enabled, but official games can still connect if you know the SSID to begin with.

And that is the reason why I bought the Opera browser, hehe.  Our school has a wireless network, but SSID broadcasting is disabled, so I'm unable to use any homebrew programs to connect to it.

Currently my router is working/connecting to the other computer via WPA-PSK [TKIP] security options and when i try to apply WEP network does not even connect

Only when two computers are connected via WEP do i think that i will be able to use my DS Lite

Any suggestions?

If you are at home just get that Nintendo USB key wich is easy to use, reliable and works like a charm.

heh, I was about to post that, I learned that by trial and error

SSID broadcasting is enabled...it's just that when WEP security options selected it wont connect to the second computer.

BTW i am trying to get Opera(patched) working.

Thanks
