i need to know some things before i plan on buying a gba flashcart

First: Which one should I get thats affordable?
Im thinking of getting the ez4 as i heard its great with gba games.
I also need to know a site where i can buy it for chip that ships to canada

Secondly, should I bother getting a 2gb minisd card or is 1gb more then enough space for gba roms?

EDIT: should have mentioned i prefer removable media

With regard to the 2gb vs 1gb, make sure that you know the units they're measuring in.  Most likely, those are 2 Gigabit carts, meaning 256 megabytes.

Yes, 1Gb is more than enough space for gba roms. 512mb is more than enough space for gba roms.

I'd recommend going with the G6. I have close to forty gba games on it, and I still have space to write a few more to it. I just don't what else to put on it, lol.

whats a site i can get the g6 with shipping to canada from and for how much?

cuz winsunx has the EZ4 for $30 not sure how much shipping is though

anyone at all can give me some more info? like how the EZ4 performs if you have it

Well, Kicktrading is in Canada. They even accept COD's if you live in Canada. This is where I got my G6 from. But RHS also has it.

But, it is a little more expensive than the EZ4. So it's up to you. I've never had a problem with my G6. It's definitely my favorite flash cart.

i think im going to go with the EZ4 thanks for your help

sneef

EZ4 is great if GBA is what you're looking for.  if GBA+NDS is important, G6 is better.

actually, running FFV on EZ4 and G6 next to each other, the EZ4 is slightly faster.  EZ-flash products have so far had the best GBA performance of any carts I've used.  I still have an EZ-flash III for GBA.

yes i plan to use it only for gba, im getting an R4 for ds, so im not worried about the DS compatibility of it, id just like to know about how many games would a 1gb minisd would be able to hold

sneef

a LOT.  I'm not sure the exact amount, it depends on your games.  do the math.. if games are measured in mbits, then convert 1GB to Megabits.  1GB = 8Gigabits.  even if you're talking about the BIGGEST GBA games (256Mb, games like Riviera, or Kingdom Hearts), you could fit roughly 32 of them on the miniSD.

The reality of it is that many excellent and popular GBA titles are only 64mbit, or 128mbit.. so you'll actually be likely to fit maybe 60 or more games on it.

sweet, thats what i was hoping for, most games i plan on putting on it are rpgs like the FFs, golden sun 1 and 2, kingdom hearts, riviera, some of the mmbn games,  and any others people would suggest. the reason im going for the 1gb and not the 512mb is cuz its only an extra $5 so for double the space its worth it

Perseid

I always go for the biggest I can get at a reasonable price. Who knows when you're going to need that space for something else?

Wow, that's really cool. I always thought the G6 gave the best performance. Hopefully the cart in the 3in1 bundle, will perform just as fast as the EZFlash IV.
