I got my SHOCK! case today, and my DS is half open. I've been following the YouTube tutorial, but I'm stuck on the ribbon cables. I would commit suicide of I broke them...

It says to "unlock" the connector and take out the cable. How exactly do I "unlock" it? Or am I just not putting enough force on the thing..?

No, don't just pull on the ribbons! Be careful with the ribbon clasps because if you break one you are screwed. Don't be afraid, just be careful.

Even though you are working on a DS Lite this video will show you how the DS ribbon clasps work. If you don't understand Spain-ish this video is still very educational to watch.

you may want to reinforce the ribbon cable. just stick some clear tape over it so it doesn't tear easily when you put it back together again.

You know the mic cable doesn't go under the DS slot only the wifi does.  The mic goes along to top under the motherboard in groves.

Oh. Well I haven't put it back together yet because of the tilt-sensor I found... and I want to install a mini USB. Thank you... I wish I would have known that last night. :lol:

Lol...yeah. If I ever decide to get a Shock case, I'll pay the extra amount to have them install it. I'll be afraid that I'll break something.
