I know a lot of new options have come up recently in regards to videos on the PSP.  What is the quickest and easiest way to get videos on the PSP with human-readable filenames and low filesize?  In my past experience I'd have these problems:

1.  Conversion would take too long on my Athlon 64 3200+
2.  Video filenames would be gibberish crap like 100AMV.MP4
3.  Files would grow from like 8MB to 40MB when converted

I'm looking for a turnkey solution here.   :)

Just got my PSP a few days ago so I've been having a heck of a time trying to find something good as well as free. The link above leads to Super, which I just recently discovered and am so far falling deeply in love with. Not just for converting to PSP format, but the fact that it can convert nearly any type of format to nearly any other type of format.

The only thing it's missing is DPG support... a man can dream though, a man can dream....

As for PSP, it works wonderfully. I've tried AVI and FLV files and both convert flawlessly and play fine when you use the PSP profile from the menu.

lol. i just discovered super yesterday!  what a weird coincidence.  needed something to convert flv to a format my nokia e61 can play.

I tried that... and it's a mess. Half the stuff that goes through it doesn't work and for some reason whenever I changed a profile, as soon as I hit "encode" it switched back to the default.
