Porting saves over from a Slot 2

Can this be done?

I have tons of saves from previous games played on my SC Lite Rumble, and I don't want to lose my progress. Is it as simple as having the SC DS One create a save, and then replacing it with my own?

Nevermind, renaming my files to match my saves seems to have done the trick!
