I hate to say it, but sometimes I think the piracy talk is getting a little out of control.  I know, I know, nothing illegal is really going on here, but it sometimes gets to me that if anything would fall, it would fall on me.

I'm not sure what to do yet, but it'll probably be something.  This site is growing pretty fast, and sometimes that makes me a little nervous.

I might stop allowing naming specific roms or even specific games in posts.  Not sure yet.  I know that might not be appropriate right after this firmware release... so I'll give it a little more thought... but something will probably be done.

For now, I'm going to probably just make the forums registered only.... Just a minor heads up.

Gnerally speaking, discussion ABOUT roms and emulators is perfectly leagal. Don't worry about it.

Along as people behave and dont post any links to sites with roms.
There is nothing illegal about posting release namens for roms that have been dumped.


But if you are worried that the first will happen maby you can put in sites that are not allowed in some kind off database for the forum? Sorry if this might sound stupid but my knowledge off forums is not that great.

Edit: Request Admins that can monitor the forums and remove illegal links/names, ban users that dont behave and so on. But choose wisely. Some people have a tendency to play god when they are admins.  :lol:

As long as you squash links to roms and request for roms I think we will be fine. They can't shut anyone down for doing nothing but talking.

I agree, if it wasn't legal, all the "news site" for roms and isos would be shutdown.

It's like, I think you can talk about how to make a bomb on a forum, if you don't make one and use it (saw somes things like that on TV' News).
