Has anyone had any problems with the games after they trimmed it with the R4 rom trimmer?

I just remembered about this app, so I figured I would trim my roms. And before I trimmed them all(I have 15 games on a 1GB card) I had 22mb of space left. And after trimming all of them, I have 182mb of space left.

That's a huge difference. I just hope it doesn't mess with any of the games, or it's really not worth it.

Oh, and do you think this trimmer would work with the DS-Linker? I don't really see why it wouldn't, right? I used the UFPEX trimmer, and it over trims. So the games were basically unplayable.

So I was just wondering if anyone has used it or not.

I trimmed about 20 games for a friend and checked that they all booted up afterwards. Unfortunately, Gameyeeha messed up the delivery so he still doesn't have the R4 to test it on (though he has the micro SD card).

I saved about 100Mb compared to my daughter's set up which is with the un-trimmed ROMs.

I think that I will have to start trimming hers soon as I have had to remove music so that she could get more games on (don't know why- she never plays them, but if my son has them on his supercard.....)

I use it with DS ONE.
I trim Jet implus and use it with my old SCminiSD save file.
It don't load the save file.
But when i use a not trimed rom, it load fine.

I'd say 95-96% of all games using the R4 trimmer will work perfectly fine. There are a few oddballs that won't work and as far as I know there isn't really a list available.

I've ran 60+ games on my R4 using the R4 Trimmer and I've never had any problems so far.

Thanks for the info guys. All the games I've tried so far, have played fine.

Here's another question though:

After I trimmed PoR, the save for it didn't work. And I have both rom file, and the save file, named exactly alike. So I guess that a trimmed rom, can't be used with a non trimmed save file?

Just a few trimed rom can't play with untrim save file.

Ah, that's cool. Oh well, I wasn't too far into the game anyways.

I just to let anyone know, I used the R4 Trimmer with the DS-Linker, and it works beautifully. It let me put 48 games on my 16G DS-Linker.
