Hello my fellow DS programmers, I am but a lowly rom stealer that knows next to nothing about homebrew, I'm just wondering, is there anyway you could port this software for the DS, I'm a canadian university student, I'd love to have this dictionary on the go.

No source is provided, so a direct port would probably be impossible.  If there was a Chinese-to-English dictionary available, you could probably use TranslatorDS, but looking at the recommended site, I can't find one.

Try this one actually, i just realized it's a much better program
TranslatorDS, i can only seem to find ABC based languages for it.

So... is this a dead endeavour? I'm sure there's a few people who could appreciate a chinese-english dictionary... I've searched around and I haven't found anything... but there is Java based cell-phone dictionaries i have found, there's no way to port it?

I'd love a Chinese to English dictionary, it'd probably bump up my Chinese school marks by 1000% if I could funnel all the time I spend on my DS.  But I think it would be pretty hard to program from scratch.

I was going to try it out but it has over 1000 small files that it took forever to transfer (55 min remaining) so I cancelled, if anyone wants to try this out, post your results. Is it the card that's making the transfer so slow?

I hate to sound a bit... pretentious... but, I really don't need a "learn chinese program", I just need a portable dictionary... plus, the DSZhongwen is in simplified, I'm a good 2000 characters deep in Traditional... I might try it if I'm bored...
