The roms will save but only until you turn it off,  the save will be gone, am I doing something wrong? is there an actual GBA emulatore for the DS?

When you save in a GBA game it saves in the supercard's RAM (temporary memory). In order to make the save permanent follow these instructions:

1. Save in the game (this is a no brain-er)
2. Push L+R+Select+A at the same time, you should see a screen that says something like "Save to SD?"
3. Select Yes

And your save has just been saved to the SD card, and will be stay there when you turn your system off.

And there is no DS-GBA emulator that i know of.
