Just ordered my 2nd NDS (2nd hand though) – gonna have wicked 2 player with my son…can't wait for mariokart..

Already have 1 with Supercard SD – happy with it.

So will need a 2nd Supercard – should I go for the SD or CF version?

So far my thoughts are as follows:
1. SD looks smaller
2. CF is 3 pounds cheaper
3. CF seemed easier to code for NDS so may have better compatibility?
4. Memory seems to be priced the same.

So what should I go for?

Even toyed with the idea of getting a M3 - for bricker protection -  then put my brain back in...

please give me you experiences of each..

also where is the cheapest place to buy from?

I love the CF design. When the supercard its self is in the GBA slot, it fits perfectly like a normal GBA cart. Then it just has a small slit for the CF card to go in, so it basically turns your DS's GBA slot into a CF slot!

It means you can just take the CF card out but leave the supercard in :D

Unfortunately, unlike the ball, people do not bounce.

I would say go with the SD card (as I did).  It has faster access time, is smaller, and is compatible with more devices.  Sometime in the future I plan on getting a Digital camera and PDA.  When I do, I can use the same one gig card I bought for my DS.  Most digital cameras and PDAs don't have a compact flash slot anymore.

As for compatibility, things like moonshell don't yet support either supercard variant.  Assuming it one day will, it will probably support both formats.

I got mine off ebay from some guy named kentouchfish.  I believe hes still selling them for 46$ each which is a lot cheaper than ive seen them anywhere else.

I have Moonshell running just fine on my Supercard CF with a Superpass. i love the CF. CF is compatible with nearly everything. It is a very nice design as well. Mine doesn't feel cheap at all. It doesn't take up much space either.

CF in my opinion is more compatible with everything. I see way too many posts from folks with nothing but trouble with the SD version.

Get the SD version.
THe CF version is built like cheap garbage (not that the SD version can be mistaken for a luxury item but it's better quality).
I've had nothing but good things to say about the SD version.
