Seen lots of forums on running nesDS and none seemed to have a solution for me.

Downloaded a few versions and have the same problems.  First I extracted the .zip and renamed the .bin file to .nds.  Next I put the renamed file in the root directory of my microSD card with the roms themselves in a folder named "NES Games".  When I launch the application it cant find the roms.  i have even tried putting the nesDS file in the game folder and it still cannot find the roms.

Not too big of a deal since the SC embedded emulators play everything decent.  Just the graphics are a bit squished and would LOVE to have the rewind/fast forward abilities that nesDS has.

You don't need to rename anything.  Go to http://wiki.pocketheaven.com/NES_DS and try a few of the instructions there.  First try the instructions for slot-2 Supercards using the download found in the DS-X section, and if that doesn't work then try the instructions for the R4 and other slot-1 cards using the same download.  Don't forget to put ndstool in the same directory.

K, could only get the r4 version working and seems great but cant seem to get the saves working.  do i have to add a .sav of the same name to the same directory as well?

I don't think you can save if you package all of them together like that.  I haven't really tested it too much.
