Any additional info regarding the R4 would be great ... such as how to update etc is it as easy as the SUPERCARD series !?

You made a good choice, you won't regret it.

It's even easier to update than the Slot2 SC's because R4DS has a totally  software-based firmware system.  Just download the latest R4 firmware update (currently 1.08 ) and put the files in the flashcard root.  Leave 4megs free for it to create its _MENU_.SYS file upon first boot, load your trimmed or untrimmed clean NDS files into it, and you're all set.

It so easy, a caveman could do it.  :wink:

Just to make a point, you can see what I was trying to say in this thread (http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9627&highlight=) when I said that I think the supercard will go under. I mean, most of the people here reccomended the R4, and this is a supercard site! Plus, have you seen what people are saying about the scdsone on gbatemp? As for slot-2 cards, how many people are still buying slot-2 cards? No, I think supercard is going down.

(no offence to the forum sponsor RHS ..but had already delt with them before I even found this forum )

Shop.01 gave me excellent service with them ....originally ordered the wrong cards for 2 x DSPHATS (ordered sc lite cards that dont fit the PHAT ...duh! at me lol ) and Shop.01 (thanks again marcus) were quick to perform the return/exchange at no extra charge to me at the time :D:D

So buying my R4 I ordered with them again and they again gave great service along with Email communication both within office hours and out of office hours with all my transactions and questions

I give them a big thumbs up for service and prompt customer support

It is disappointing.  The people at the EZ Flash forums, other than me, seem to really love the EZV.

that is because the EZ-5 actually stacks up with the R4 and has the only official connection to the 3 in 1.  The EZ5 allows you to play POR even with a crappy microsd, I just like the simple design the R4 brings and the soft reset

It is disappointing.  The people at the EZ Flash forums, other than me, seem to really love the EZV.

considered EZflash when I first looked for cards as I already have 2 ez III gba carts    but there was no such thing as the EZV at the time and the EZ4 wasnt getting good compatibility at the time  


Additional to the prices statement above they are a bit higher in the USA and other none EUROPE countrys due to TAX being applied  

In the EU we are not TAXED on these items  

(also states that on their website i just noted)


but still recommend them on excellent service

Additional to this its only about £2 difference using next day delivery option ...than what i paid for insured delivery from sweden lol but hey Im happy with my service with shop01 as im sure you are with supercardstore

UPDATE :-   my R4 arrived today after just 4 days......  AND ITS BLACK well a grey black... but still looks cool with my BLACK DS lite

again EXCELLENT reliable service from the guys at SHOP01  

Now I just need to find a cool theme for it maby BLACK too
