I'm lookng for a new card at the moment, everyone I hear tells me how great the R4 is, I hear m3 is pretty good... But what I really want is the DS-Linker because how low cost it is.

What is better and why?  Can the DS-Link (mini sd one) compare to the R4 and M3 or ez flash 5

Why am I kicking the DS-X to the curb?

My DS-X isn't working properly and isn't being read by the computer... I havent been sucsessful at fixing it, while the company says it isnt broken, I grow tired of trying and failing at fixing it

Look at the R4 deal from dealextreme.com that comes with a 1GB kingston japanese so you will be able to play ALL games at full speed and get all of the other homebrew capabilities and SOFT RESET YES!  This is only for 40$ as long as your in America I think. R4 is your best choice if you don't want to spend a lot of time burning games to your ds.

Yes, the R4 is very nice. But I wouldn't recommend getting it from Deal-X. I don't know where you're from, but Deal-X is located in Hong Kong. And their shipping speed sucks. You'll be waiting about a week for your order to even leave Hong Kong, then another week, or two, for the order to arrive to you. I've known of a lot of people that order from there(that's where almost everyone from Gamefaqs has ordered their R4 from), and they all complain about it. And if you happen to get a faulty cart, or the microsd spring is busted, you have to ship it all the way back, and wait all over again for a replacement.

I recommend paying the few extra measly dollars, and getting the R4+1GB Kingston Japan bundle from RHS. All my orders have arrived in two days from them. And I even had to return one cart. And I got the other one in just a few days. It's a great site.

Anyways, I have the DS-Linker too, and is my favorite cart. Only thing it doesn't have, is soft reset. Besides that, it's excellent. Even bought my girl one, because of how much I liked it. But...I also like my R4.

And actually, if you were thinking of going with the DS-Linker, you can get a 16G Express card for around forty dollars cheaper than the 16G DS-Linker.

I think with what ever cart you go with, be it one of the clones, or R4/M3, or EZV, you're going to be happy.

Hi. I heard about many problems on DS-X. And it's strange that in Brazil there is no more selling of it. I think sellers here got many problems with it. By the way, I had EZ-Flash2, SupercardSD, M3Simply, and now an Express Card 16GB. If you are ok with 2GB size, I think the best option is Express Card (US$ 39) with DSLinker firmware 1.23O applied. But if you want more than 2GB (maybe to store MP3 and Videos), M3/R4 is the very best option. I read many reviews of DS-Link microSD (it's not DSLinker) and I don't think it's a good option, cause you have to flash your DS. Supercard team provides good support to their products, but I heard about many problems with old Supercard ONE, and they had to improve the quality of Supercard ONE (now they sell it with manual, microSD reader, and beautiful case). EZ-Flash doesn't provide good support. The official site has few updates and don't think EZ-FlashV is promising flashcard. I believe the EZ Expansion Pack is good.
