Nice work dude.  I will link this to a member who said he would be willing to test this.   8)

Hmm. Something seems to be different in new SC-Software version. But it still works just by enabling "Saver Patch" only and using an empty sav file.

Hmm...have'nt tested in the DS, but on both my NES GBA and my Zelda GBA, it does'nt seem to work with Kingdom Hearts or Metroid ZM.

Well, turning the GBA back on does'nt show the game as being "in cart"
I used software 2.44 though, and tried only once. will experiment some more later...good find, tho !

oh, btw, while we're on that...There's no way to keep your GG/NES/GB etc saves ?
I mean, after having turned the GBA off ?

The earlier GBA Flash linkers had slow ram and some games needed a speed hack.

So why cant this be done with the Super Card Patcher ?

I'm sure it can be done, but  each game would require a separate patch I guess. Couldnt do a universal patcher to speed up any game.

Something to think about anyway !!!!

Why can't the Supercard team just enable read/write from SD/Mini-SD option like they do for the DS games? I mean this would solve the ram problem as it could read the game directly from the flash media!

Because DS games are loaded into internal DS ram by design.  A GBA game is loaded into Supercard ram and then mapped directly into DS address space like a real GBA rom.  The problem is Supercard ram is too slow.  It isn't possible to load a GBA game from SD into DS ram and run it from there, unless there was a GBA emulator for DS.

They could change this problem by incorporating the feature into an firmware update. They offer loading of DS roms into memory why not the opposite for GBA games?

The DS will only allow access to GBA specific hardware features in GBA mode. This limitation is hardwired into the DS hardware. It isn't possible to load a GBA game from SD into DS ram and run it from there, unless there was a GBA emulator for DS.
