I'll hold off on reflashing, it's really not that big of a deal :P well......having a ds > having a brick

So...Which one is better R4 or M3 (or are they the same)
PSP Slim- 4.01M33-2 1gb+4GB Memory Stick
Nintendo DS PHAT+R4 DS +SuperCard SD

And a NES, Sega, Atari and others! :D...

The Classics will ALWAYS live on! ^_^

Hi

R4 = M3 (in terms of hardware)

M3 > R4 (in terms of money)

M3 > R4 (in terms of interface)

I'd go with the R4. From what it looks like on gbatemp.net, the M3's interface isn't really much better. If you really want a good interface, get an scdsone. It's got the best interface. Otherwise go with the R4. That's the way I see it.

By the way, have I been doing to much math?

Not sure I agree about the interface, I have an SCDSONE but just got a M3 Simply for a friends daughter - the simply is so much simpler ! no pun, but everything worked just as it should, clean rom on card - play game.

I like what moonshell does but it's awkward as an interface - if you're into tweaking yes the SCDSONE has more for you, however if you want to plug and play go for M3 / R4 it played everything I threw at it where as the SCDSONE still seems to have problems on some games (tony hawks downhill jam ?)

And I'm using good japanese kingston SD cards, which it auto detects to 30x.

For me I like tweaking so SCDSONE is good but I must admit it's not the leap I'd expected - where as the M3 did surprise me at how un geek friendly it is.
