The homebrew app is fairly old, so it will only work on devices that are explicitly stated in the sourecode, which appears to only be CF-based devices.  I wasn't able to get it to work on my Supercard miniSD.  Loading it with the Desmume emulator shows the file menu at least, though I wasn't able to launch a game correctly.
