Okay...what kind of emulators can the supercard handle?

Plenty of them, provided that the emulator exists.  Check out the sidebar of http://nintendo-ds.dcemu.co.uk for a listing.  My personal recommendations are SNEmulDS, NES DS, and (if you have a non-Rumble slot-2 Supercard) Goomba Color.

Is Goomba Color pretty good? Does have it save states, or does just use the games save system?

And I"m sure it'll run on the R4 or DS-Linker right?

Thanks
Setup:

Slot 1: CycloDSx2GB Kingston Japan, Supercard DSOne+1GB Nokia(J), 16G G6 DS Real, 16G DS-Linker, R4x1GB Kingston(J),
Slot 2: G6 Lite
PSP: 3.40 OE-A

Goomba Color is a GBA program, hence why I stated that you have to have a non-Rumble slot-2 Supercard, or another slot-2 device that has GBA support.

It does not have savestate support, but it does support in-game saves.  The regular Goomba emulator that doesn't have color support can use savestates.

For the R4 or DS Linker, your only choice is Lameboy at the moment.  You could use GNUboyDS if you want, but it's rather slow and has fewer features than Lameboy other than sound support.

so the supercard can support all the handheld nintendo systems?

A slot-2 Supercard can emulate the GB and GBC via Goomba Color and can run GBA files natively.

Other emulators can be found at that DCEmu page and also at http://www.portabledev.com/pages/ds/nds-emulation.php

Oh shoot! I wasn't even thinking. Duh...that's right, it can't work on a slot 1.

I think I used it on my G6 Lite before, and I couldn't get a lot of games to work. I think I got Oracle of Ages to work, and Warioland 3, but there was a lot of others that wouldn't work.

Thanks for the info.

PicodriveDS is an awesome emulator (my fave) and emulates Mega Drive games pretty well considering. The speed isn't quite up there and it has no sound but once those get sorted it will be the best emu by far
