hi,
i bought a nintendogs + purple nintendo ds bundle last week. today my superpass and supercard SD arrived but i dont get anything working. i can not play nds roms nor can i patch it with flashme.

when the passme is inside i only get 2 white screens.

now i asked several people in irc (#gbatemp / #ndstemp) and they told me the new nintendo ds versions dont work with passe.

befor i bought it i only read somewhere that units with serial number 12xxx... dont work but my device's SN does not start with 12.

is my pink nintendo ds too new for passme ?

All Nintendogs packages dosent work with passme ... www.dspassme.com  they are special version of passme avalible or if the superpass have a JTAG connection you can update your CHLD via LPt1 with a homemade cable cheaptag

to know if superpass have JTAG connection you must open your Superpass to check on the pcb.

It's not a "nintendogs" version. Just a general upgraded passme because ALL new DS units have updated firmware to combat the super passes. What you want is the Ique version of the passme... but not many places are selling them yet (if any are, I haven't seen any myself but I know loopy has made one and I think I heard somewhere that they were being sold)

I just said the bundle of the Nintendo DS who come with Nintendogs. The PassMe dosen't work with it. You need a special Passme. www.dspassme.com

No, that one will not work. It's just a normal passme.

You want http://www.dspassme.com/oscommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21&products_id=51 with the Ique option instead of the standard option (at least, I'm pretty sure it's ique. It uses the same anti-passme technique, but it's firmware is larger then a standard DS, so maybe there is another bit of difference. But I'm 90% sure that'll work)

(edit) Just did a little bit of research... this will NOT work for super card. The iQue version will only work with standard flashcards that have battery backed S-ram. This is because the passme makes the DS read some information from GBA s-ram for it to work.

The only way to get super card working on the new firmware DS' would be to get the iQue version, get someone to loan you their standard GBA flashcart that has battery backed S-ram, use that to load up Flashme, install flash me, then use that to run your super pass.

I'm just very glad I got my DS as one of the first US batches. Has worked flawlessly with everything. ^_^

wifime will not work on the new ds's, i have tried it on my nintendogs blue one and it just says loading game and then i get an error telling me to turn of the ds

Does this mean that the supercard will not play GBA games either or do the GBA games work fine but no NDS games

In other words can I but a supercard just to load GBA roms

yes. disabling the superpass has no influence on booting gba games. but the supercard is not recommendable for gba games if you wanna buy it just for the feature. (of course its cheaper than most other carts)
