Depends who you talk to.....

Yes milk contains calcuim which we need for the development of healthy bones.
So in theory milk can indeed promote healthy bones and teeth.

However there are other sources of calcium:
"a cup of these sesame  seeds contains 2,200 mg. of calcium compared with the 280 mg. of calcium in a cup of milk."
So milk is not the only source of calcium.

Now lets also consider that pasteurization removes about half of the calcium and that the calcium found in milk isnt the type of calcium that is best absorbed by the body.
Futhermore some people (myself included) is lactose intolerant.

So personally I dont think milk is as vital as it is made out to be and I certainly wouldnt recommend it wholesale to everybody on the planet
But then I have no vested interest in the dairy industry.

While milk can promote healthy bones, there are alternatives that can work better and depending on the individual have less side effects.

KK

ps: Musulsa that was not a retarded comprison.
vegetable -> calcium -> us
Is completely valid.

"Vegan Sources of Calcium
Good plant sources of calcium include green leafy vegetables.
The calcium in green vegetables which are not high in oxalate is absorbed as well or better than the calcium from cow's milk."

(apprently I pay more attention to my finace then I realise, next shall we discuss the benefits of adding flouride to water and toothpaste??)

p.s. fossil fuels does not refer to dinosaurs in particular, but all organic matter (i.e. plants as well as animals).  but it is much funnier to say Dinosaurs -> Cars, than Giant Ferns -> Cars.

Actually, I think fossil-fuels is an acronym for

From Old Stinky Stuff Lasting-Forever and Useful but Endagering Loved So-called planets.

And that's why we're getting global worming! Hate fossil Fuel. I don't care about my stupid car, If the human race gets distroyed what does everyone think will happen to cars? Then again, my NDS... omm... COULD BE SOLAR POWERED! YEAH! THAT'S IT! I'd just use solar power for my nds! And my computer could... power my wii... er... (sigh)

Anyway, on the topic of milk, it's probably not that bad since babies can servive on nothing but milk for six months and still grow so fast that their parents cry. Then again, nothing can grow slow enouph to not make it's parents cry.

BUT milk's annoying my parents make me drink it every morning and I hate it cannot stand it's taste would rather just take calsium vitiamins which I do anyway in addition to drinking disscussting milk grrr I don't like milk.

Then again, to be honest, I don't like eating ethier, and If I didn't eat I'd die, so I have to eat, and drink, something.

Oh well. Nothing in this world is perfect.

well...

human milk and milk from cows are different...

it is recommended and a good thing to drink milk from the mother....

which is why cow milk is good for calves and human milk good for babies...

lol.... cows being injected hormones so they think they're pregnant.... to make more milk - and being fed antibacterials cause it causes them to be sick

Who was the first person to say, "I'm going to squeeze those dangly things and drink whatever comes out"?

Lol...that's weird. I was just saying this to my mom the other day.

I mean seriously, that was some weird dude that thought of pulling on those utters. And not just pulling on them, but actually drinking what came out.
