Hi, I've just got a SCDS1 (last week) and apart from games sometimes not saving it's been great. However, I don't know what most of the options mean in the menus etc. What is "super mode". What is "patch mode". What do the other options mean and what difference do they make to the game? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for that. It does explain a couple of things but not really the ones I don't understand. Namely ...

Patch SD Card Read Speed. What does this do and is it better on or off?

Patch Saver. What does this do and is it better on or off?

I've also heard something called Supermode and normal mode (think that's right). What are they and what are the differences?

Sorry to be such a n00b but I like to know as much about something as I can.

well... patch sd card speed let's you use cheats/walkthrough and patch saver lets' you soft reset press L+X and turn them off/onand you'll see
