after being an avid supporter of the supercard ds one for so long, my friend needs a consult on which flashcart to buy. (M3 or R4) and although i think i know the answer, it doesnt help for an outside opinion right?

so: R4 and the M3 Simply are basically the same thing right?  ;D

Exactly the same, only difference is the name on the sticker.

I was in the same boat. The Ds One is a huge let down imo. My cart broke on the first use and the second one has save problems. I really should've done my research instead of purchasing them out of blind loyalty. I hope my M3's don't have any issues and work flawlessly.

I doubt it that they would have any issues at all... they are pretty damn good cards as they are the same as the R4's :)

As Devs stated above R4 & M3 are the same they can use the same KERNEL too  by patching the R4 kernel it can be used on the M3 ...  some M3 users do this as the updates for R4 are sometimes quicker  :)

Between R4 and M3, pick the R4, in general they are like a few dollars cheaper in stores.  Not to mention that their firmware comes out a day or two earlier (although it is patchable to work on both).

I'm blind...  Lol, I've been staring at my DS screens for so long now it tends to blur every now and then  ;D (GO LUMINOUS ARC!)

Ok, so I just dled the new firmware 1.11. When you to select a game theres that round R button thats red and turns green when you press the right shoulder button. What the heck is that?

ohhhhh boy... can't wait for a DSL SC.

The L (red button) is for the light setting (4 levels) and the R button is for the "soft reset" [press L, R + A, B, X, Y all together and it goes back to the main menu without swithching on or off).

Pressing the L button changes the light level. Pressing the R button turns the soft reset on or off (red or green)

haha thanks, right after I posted that I wandered about the R4 site and found it :buck2:. For a sec I thought the R4 didn't support it, so happy that I found it. :smitten:
