Anyone have this yet and if so is it worth a purchase?

I don't have it yet. I was thinking about doing the download thing when it goes live on PSN tomorrow. (Note this download can't be shared) I'm still waiting for a review from IGN and GameSpot. Here is a NextGen review giving it a 9.6 out of 10.

I thought it was live now? Didn't check, just thought someone said it went live at midnight last night. Let me know if you get it and what you think of it, im afraid it's gonna be just another FPS/action type game.

Resistance was developed by Insomniac, which IIRC is a Sony exclusive studio.  I doubt we'll see it on other consoles.

Hell I still need to by Resistance Fall of Man, but I heard it's coming out on XboX 360. I rented and thought it was pretty good.

I doubt Resistance: Fall of Man will come to XboX 360. That would be like Halo coming to PS3.

Resistance: Fall of Man is an excellent game. It's goes head to head with Gears of War all day long. Personally I thought Gears of War was a bit more impressive, but let's not forget Resistance was a launch title. It's quite possibly one of the best launch titles ever released on any platform.

I think Warhawk is ok. Most people who play it enjoy it. It's like Battlefield 1942 if that helps.

You could buy the retail box and try it. If you don't like it, I'm sure there will be someone willing to purchase the game off of you for $40 minus the headset. Worst case scenario, you lose $20 and gain a headset.

No I haven't played it yet. The reviews look good. I decided I'm going to buy the retail version. I stopped buy Fry's last night but they didn't have it yet.  I'm going to pick it up later tonight or tomorrow. I'll let you know.

I picked up Warhawk on my lunch break today.  I'm pretty stoked to check it out when I get home. The bluetooth headset will come in handy for other games like Resistance and Motorstorm too. Let's get some game on sometime this weekend.
